Grass Fed & Finished Beef Liver (1.25 lbs)

Satisfy your primal instincts

Organ meats, including liver, are considered one of the best superfoods you can opt for! Consuming liver is a good way to help support the function of your own liver!

Beef liver is a low-calorie organ meat that’s high in nutrients and has many health benefits:
  • Vitamin A
Supports vision, immune function, and kidney function. Beef liver is one of the richest sources of preformed vitamin A, but too much can be toxic and damage vision and bones if eaten every day.
  • Iron
Helps cells generate energy, oxygen circulate, and the immune system destroy pathogens. 100g of beef liver contains 63% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of iron. The iron in beef liver is also in the heme form, which is easily absorbed by the body.
  • B vitamins
Helps convert food into chemical energy and supports brain function. Beef liver is an excellent source of vitamin B12, and one ounce can provide more than most people’s daily requirement. It also contains other B vitamins, including folate, thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin.
  • Copper
An essential mineral that helps form red blood cells and with iron absorption.
  • Vitamin D
A 3-ounce serving of cooked beef liver can provide around 42 IU of vitamin D

Oregon Valley Farm will turn liver haters into converts. They sell the best tasting liver! Liver is called a nutritional power house & super food so I really wanted to like it. I just disliked liver until I tried Oregon Valley Farm. They also have amazing customer service so you can’t loose.

I believe cow’s diet and lifestyle affects the quality of the meat but mainly the liver. Oregon Valley Farm’s liver is not bitter or smelly when cooked it is just delicious. We love slicing it and pan frying it in a very hot pan to achieve a nice brown searing then flip over to cook for a few seconds so it’s medium cooked with a very creamy texture inside, oh and don’t forget ro sprinkle a generous amount of real salt or pink Himalayan. Believe it or not my kids fight for it.

Very nice quality of liver. Well…. I’m the odd person when it comes to eating liver. Since I do not like the smell & taste of liver when it’s cooked, I prefer to cut my liver up into cubes and freeze and eat raw. I take out of the freezer thaw slightly and swallow it raw like a pill. I consume 14 grams of raw frozen liver every day. OVF liver has a very mild taste barely a smell. It doesn’t make me sick, give me burps or upset my stomach. Good quality liver along with great processing cleanliness and techniques make for good quality meats!
